On Par in Port

For those who love nothing more than to play 9 or 18 holes while on holiday, there are stunning golf courses to challenge & excite you in Greater Port Macquarie! From the 100 year old Port Macquarie Golf Club to courses at Kew, Wauchope & Emerald Downs where you may share the fairway with local wildlife, there is a course for players of all levels.

Port Macquarie Golf Club

This course is absolutely picturesque! Located between Ocean Drive and the ocean itself, you can practically hear the waves from the back 9. Watch the wildlife if you hit a ball into the scrub, don’t head too far into the bushes.

One half of management here, Mike, has some tips for golfers heading to Port Macquarie Golf Club: Warm up well before the first hole as it’s a par 5, 473m with a fairway bunker waiting to catch you, and it’s a killer! Also keep an eye out for the 18th, you will have to finish off with a par 5 here, a dogleg right where the clubhouse overlooks the 18th green.

Mike has another tip for golfers heading to Emerald Downs: Watch the 2nd hole, the water hazard comes up early in the game, it’s a long 150 and is a doozy! Also look out for the 18th it’s a killer too, 170 and more water.
